Questions about the device
It works with cars and light commercial vehicles that use K-line or CAN, which covers the vast majority of cars from 2004 on. Trucks, buses and Tesla aren't supported. What can be read varies by make and model; see the Compatible cars page for details.
No. The report is built on readings signed by the OBD-X1, so the app works only with the 2dakika OBD-X1.
Scanning is read-only, and every report states that nothing was written to the car during the scan. The only thing written to the car is a fault-code clear you confirm. Mileage, the VIN, and key and immobilizer modules are never written to.
At 2dakika.com or from the order screen in the app: $99 plus $20 shipping. You can return it within 14 days, and the device comes with a 2-year warranty.
iPhones and iPads on iOS 15 or later, and Android 7.0 or later phones with Bluetooth LE.
On most cars a scan takes under 2 minutes; the time depends on how many modules are read. Keep the ignition on and the engine off during the scan.
